Itinerant Teacher for the Visually Impaired 
Cumberland County Schools
Fayetteville, North Carolina

Description:

• Develop and implement IEP's for students ages 3-21 with visual impairment in the expanded core curriculum areas
• Conduct and interpret initial and on-going assessments (FVA, LMA, AT...)
• Develop and conduct in-service programs to educate parents and school staff of the impact a visual impairment has on learning and experiences
• Supervise VI program classified staff
• Maintain accurate records and documentation

Qualifications:

• Possess or be eligible to hold a NC VI certification
• Proficient in literary and Nemeth braille codes
• Knowledgeable of a variety of assistive technology aids/equipment
• Hold a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation to travel to multiple school sites daily
• Meet NCLB qualifications and be HQ
